Life has given me plenty of reasons to hate mine. There are times I feel like the universe is trying to shake me violently out of my tree. When my reality is too cruel to bear. Plenty of reasons, plenty of times, in plenty of ways. Maybe I’m flying over the cuckoo’s nest but in moments of deep reflection I wonder, not how or why or when… Perhaps, I’m asking about another heart because I don’t want to focus on mine right now.
I’d really love to hear your answers. Thank Y’all!
If grief had a heart what would it be like?
This beautiful song has been playing in the background of my real life for the past 3 days. If you’d like to know how I feel right now, this video says it all. For those of who are grieving my heart is with you.

Beautiful post Eleanor, if I had to visualise a heart bearing grief it would be ~ smoky, fractured, hollow and dissociated. 🧿🙏🏻

Great post, Eleanor. I visualize a grieving heart as dry and thirsty, trying hard to be hydrated with love. Much love to you.❤️

I’m so sorry you’re grieving!! 😦 It’s not something I have much experience with, so I have no deep thoughts. But I do feel people on the other side and don’t believe they’re gone, not really. I tap into it by lying down and thinking of them. I’m sending you so much support! ❤ ❤ ❤

🤗 Eleanor 🤗
I’d have to say that I perceive the heart of grief itself to be greedy.
Grief wants to consume everything around it.

David, your answer is deeply moving! Thank you for taking time to answer. Your perception shifts and tilts my entire perspective. Seeing a side I never examined. First time for everything, they say. Thank you

My experience has taught me; it would be like a rogue storm filled with rain and erratic thunder. Even it’s echoes would return bruised, broken and shudder my soul from the core of my own being.

Beautiful post! I think of a grieving heart as hungry, tattered and torn, in the middle of a lone desert in scorching Sun, can’t see the end in sight but waiting to be rescued. Since you mentioned that you have every reason to hate life, I hope life gets better for you… Whstever you’re going through must be really tough. Wish I could comfort you, but it’s not that easy, is it? 🙂 Praying things get better for you 🤍

I’m glad you’re smiling. I hope it lasts for as long as the Sun and moon shall endure 😀 (my favourite quote from Anne of Green gables. Found it appropriate to use it now. 😁). Have a wonderful week!

I don’t know about the heart but when I am grieving I feel as if life has drained out me.
