You say—
So pretty.
Big personality.
Big heart.
So smart.
You ask—
How can someone so beautiful be so sad?
What's wrong?
What's the matter?
Why are you so mad?
What you speak of is only the surface of me.
One branch from my tree.
Can't you see? Can't you see?
ME. Playing the right part.
You know I have a fragile heart.
Back when I didn't believe I was enough, something was always in the way.
It was usually me, I'll say.
I want to show you — my truth.
Make it shine — the irrefutable proof.
Jump into my dreams and fly with me on my silver wings.
Pay attention now and I'll show you how
To look beyond the surface
The deepest part of yourself within
A quiet constant companion.
Come closer, closer, as we go
Revealing the epitaph: alis volat propriis written upon my soul.
