My Papa used to share these rather hilarious words of wisdom with me all the time. As a little girl, I would just giggle and never gave it much thought, until I got older. What he was trying to convey to me all those years was essentially that life is all about perspective, your attitude, and that you should endeavor to respond instead of react. It has been a valuable life lesson that remains very near and dear to my heart. The message is akin to that of the old adage, “Perception becomes reality.”
It is easy to forget that how we perceive ourselves is just as important, if not more so, than how others perceive us.
